This paper discusses the concept of evaluation in Islamic education comprehensively, covering its definition, objectives, functions, principles, systems, and implementation techniques. Evaluation is regarded as an essential tool in assessing the success of the learning process and shaping the character of learners in accordance with Islamic values. In Islamic education, evaluation does not only assess cognitive aspects, but also the spiritual, social, and moral aspects of learners. Evaluation is carried out objectively, comprehensively, and continuously, through both test and non-test methods. The main goal of evaluation in Islam is to develop the human potential as servants of Allah and as His vicegerents on earth. With an approach based on divine revelation and the practices of the Prophet Muhammad, the Islamic education evaluation system is expected to produce learners who are faithful, knowledgeable, and virtuous.
