Peer Review Process
ILMUNA: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan Islam implements a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of the articles published.
Each manuscript submitted to the journal will be reviewed anonymously by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed during the review process.
The editorial team conducts an initial screening to ensure the manuscript fits the journal’s scope and meets basic quality standards. Manuscripts that pass this stage are then assigned to reviewers.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on criteria such as:
- Relevance to the scope of Islamic education
- Originality and contribution to knowledge
- Clarity of arguments and structure
- Methodological soundness
- Ethical considerations
Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the editor may decide to accept the manuscript, request revisions, or reject it. Authors are notified of the decision along with anonymized reviewer comments.
This process usually takes between 4 to 8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the responsiveness of the authors during the revision stage.
The journal is committed to maintaining a transparent, fair, and timely review process in accordance with ethical standards.
