Basic Concepts of Curriculum in Islamic Education

The Islamic education curriculum is an important foundation in achieving educational goals that are in accordance with Islamic values. This study aims to analyze the concept of the Islamic education curriculum, the basis for its development, and its development in Indonesia. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical approach through a review of various library sources. The results of the study indicate that the Islamic education curriculum has characteristics that emphasize religious values, balance of knowledge, and integration of spiritual-intellectual aspects. The basis for its development includes philosophical, socio-cultural, scientific, community needs, community development, and religious aspects. The development of the Islamic education curriculum in Indonesia has undergone a significant transformation from the Old Order to the reform era, which has further strengthened its position in the national education system. The Islamic education curriculum plays a vital role in forming a generation that is intellectually intelligent as well as spiritually strong and has noble morals.
