Abstract

This article reviews the important role of educational tools in shaping children's religious character, especially in the context of learning at TPA. The main focus of the discussion covers two aspects, namely the cultivation of Islamic values as the foundation of religious character, as well as how educational tools-such as teachers, learning methods, and teaching media-support this process effectively. Instilling Islamic values, such as devotion to worship, honesty, tolerance and empathy, is the core in developing children's religious character. These values are strengthened through the use of appropriate educational tools, including the personal approach of the ustadz/ustadzah, Koran recitation methods, and the media used in the teaching and learning process. Through the integration of educational tools that are appropriate to the child's age development, the process of internalizing religious values becomes more effective and touches the affective side of students. Children not only understand Islamic teachings theoretically, but are also able to practice noble morals in everyday life, such as helping each other, compassion and respecting others. This article uses the literature review method as the basis for analysis, but in the context of this journal, this approach is enriched with direct observation data at Ummu Jannah TPA, to see to what extent the educational tools at this institution play a role in shaping the religious character of its students.
